Calander

Hello everybody my name is Russell Wilson, and I'm an instructor here at
Shorinkan San Diego. I've been practicing Karate for 10 years now, and Kobudo for
about a year and a half.  The Boys and Girls Club has been the greatest help for me
in my studies of the martial arts.
The first six years of my life I was raised in a broken home that was destroyed by
drugs.  My biological mother saw that I had potential to be someone and put me into a
guardianship program. I now live with Lon and Sherri Mills who I truly call my parents.
This dojo is so loving, open, and friendly with me. The people at this dojo are like my
second family, I love and care about them so much. They have done so much for me,
and they even helped me achieve my Youth of the Year Award. They have also
helped me through several obstacles in my life.
I love martial arts.  It's a way to express myself, and stay in good shape. To
quote Bruce Lee "Water can flow or it can crash," Karate teaches you to flow and
    crash, its a lovely art.
I'm truly happy to be here at Shorinkan San Diego. I want to thank Sensei Sal,
and all the people at the dojo.  For making my time here so wonderful. It's not the art
itself in my case that keeps me interested.  It's the people I work with here that make it
a new lesson everyday.  To quote Sensei Sal "Always keep moving toward
perfection."  Thats what I strive for.  I hope you too can be your own personal best!
